The event commenced on the morning of Monday, January 13, 2025, with a visit to the Muslim Community Basic School. The school management received the club warmly, expressing gratitude for their efforts in promoting education within the community. Chief Mukaila Adewale Oseni, the club president, emphasized the importance of education and encouraged the school to continue its commendable efforts. Hon. Hassan, the club secretary, introduced the distinguished club members, many of whom hold prominent positions in reputable organizations locally and internationally. He highlighted that the club’s mission is to bring people back home, foster unity, and make impactful contributions to the community. The school’s headmaster shared the institution’s needs, including classroom renovations, furniture, and transportation. Pupils were encouraged to excel academically, and cash rewards were presented to those who actively participated in the session. The club proceeded to the L.A. Basic School, where they were greeted enthusiastically by the headmistress and the community. The visit to Alaganran Basic School brought together parents, teachers, and club members in a gathering that the school described as unprecedented. The professor reiterated the importance of staying committed to education, noting that success is achievable regardless of one’s location. At the Olugunwa Nomadic Basic School in Alaraba Oke Amu, the club members met with parents and the school management. Hon. Hassan introduced the club members, and the headmaster expressed gratitude while detailing the school’s pressing challenges, such as the absence of furniture and a dilapidated building. Language barriers were also highlighted, as Yoruba is used to teach nomadic pupils, which complicates learning. Despite these obstacles, the pupils impressed the club with their brilliance and their ability to recite the new national anthem. Finally, the club visited the Nomadic Basic School at Alaworo, where the headmaster, who had served for five years without any teaching staff until recently, expressed his deep appreciation for the visit. He highlighted the school’s challenges, including the lack of chairs, tables, and sufficient teaching staff. The school operates a single class due to the lack of resources, and the building has collapsed, leaving pupils and teachers in dire conditions.
