World Teachers’ Day 2024: Amofin Beulah Adeoye Celebrates Teachers, Calls Them Architects of Innovation

In commemoration of World Teachers’ Day 2024, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, President of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, has expressed deep appreciation for teachers, describing them as the “architects of innovation” and essential pillars of societal progress.

In a statement released to journalists by his Chief of Staff, Ridwan Fasasi, the renowned legal expert and philanthropist praised the contributions of teachers to nation-building, emphasizing their role in shaping the future. “As a nation, we rise only as high as the legacies left by our teachers. They are the architects of innovation, the lifeblood of growth, and the sparks of creativity that drive our progress,” Adeoye said.

The statement highlighted the importance of World Teachers’ Day as an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices and dedication of educators. “Their impact is woven into the very fabric of our achievements, and on this Teacher’s Day, we must pause to reflect on their immeasurable sacrifices and honor them for their unwavering dedication.”

Aligning with the theme of this year’s celebration, “Valuing teacher voices: Towards a new social contract for education,” set by UNESCO, Adeoye called for reforms to address the challenges teachers face. He noted that his personal experience, growing up with parents who were both teachers, gave him firsthand insight into the hardships they endure.

“Teachers work long hours, with relentless dedication, often without receiving the recognition or reward they deserve. It is time for our government to rise to the occasion and bring about the much-needed reforms to uplift this profession. Teachers are the bedrock of society—they deserve better,” Adeoye concluded.
