The Asiwaju of Oke Amu land and President of the Oke Amu Prestige Elite Club, Chief Mukaila Adewale Oseni, led an inspiring session at the Muslim Community Basic School during the club’s recent homecoming event. The Asiwaju of Oke Amu land used his personal experiences of hardship to motivate the pupils to dream big and set life-changing goals.
Recounting his childhood, the Bobaguwa of Ipapo Land, Chief Oseni shared how he and many others attended school without sandals, endured long days without electricity, and overcame countless obstacles. He reminded the pupils that despite these challenges, they dreamed of success and worked tirelessly to achieve it.
“These struggles shaped who we are today,” he said. “Now is the time for you to decide what you want to become. Let this day remain in your memory as the day you started your journey toward greatness.”
The pupils were rewarded with cash prizes for answering questions, and Chief Oseni encouraged them to view the club’s visit as a significant milestone in their lives. He stressed the importance of hard work, focus, and setting goals early to achieve a better future.
The event was part of the club’s larger initiative to uplift education in the Oke Amu community. It included distributing writing materials and refreshments to pupils in various schools. Chief Oseni’s motivational speech and the club’s support left a lasting impression on the pupils and school management.
This marks another successful chapter in the club’s ongoing efforts to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders in Oke Amu.
