Moving Nigeria Beyond Palliatives to Sustainable Economic Growth. No country has ever transitioned from poverty to prosperity through quick fixes like palliatives. For sustainable economic development, temporary relief measures cannot be the foundation. Countries like China and Singapore are prime examples of how visionary leadership and long-term strategies can uplift a nation. While these efforts provide momentary relief, they fail to address the larger, more systemic issues of poverty, unemployment, and economic instability.
