In a bid to promote environmental sustainability, Muslim High School Ipapo participated in the second edition of the “Ipapo Green School” initiative yesterday. The event, themed “Planting Seeds of Hope,” saw enthusiastic students and staff engage in a tree-planting exercise, aimed at fostering a greener and more eco-conscious future for the community.

The event was spearheaded by environmental advocate Faruq Adegbenro, whose dedication to promoting green initiatives has inspired numerous local projects. “Our goal is to encourage young people to take responsibility for their environment,” Adegbenro said. “Today’s students are tomorrow’s custodians of our planet, and initiatives like this can help instill lasting values.”
Significant contributions from Mr. Sulaimon Folarin, Mr. Muraina Muideen, Mr. Okunlola Stephen, and Mr. Ismail Billiamin (CEO of Isbill Engineering Metal Craft and Innovation) played a pivotal role in the event’s success. Their support helped provide resources for the students to plant trees, reinforcing their commitment to youth empowerment and environmental awareness.
“The support we receive from the community and sponsors is instrumental in making these events possible,” Adegbenro added, thanking the contributors for their involvement in empowering young minds.
