Eleyinpo congratulates Ipapo-born surveyor on appointment to national council

The Eleyinpo of Ipapo Land, Oba Yekini Ademola Abioye II, has congratulated Hon. Surveyor John Shiyanbola on his appointment as a member of the Surveyors Council of Nigeria.

Shiyanbola was sworn in alongside other newly appointed members of the council on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, following his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement issued by his principal secretary, Folarin, the monarch described the appointment as well-deserved and a recognition of Shiyanbola’s contributions to the surveying profession and land administration.

Oba Abioye prayed for wisdom, sound health and success for the new council member in the discharge of his responsibilities.

The monarch said, “Considering Surveyor John Shiyanbola’s remarkable record of service in Ipapo and Oyo State at large, he has contributed immensely to the protection and proper management of landed properties.

“He is a hardworking, committed and highly experienced professional whose dedication to the surveying profession is worthy of emulation.”

The monarch described the appointment as “a round peg in a round hole,” noting that Shiyanbola’s experience in surveying, land administration and boundary matters had prepared him for the national assignment.

He urged the appointee to use his new office to promote professionalism, fairness and national development, while making Ipapo proud through exemplary service to the country.

The monarch wished Shiyanbola a successful and impactful tenure.
