Amofin Beulah Adeoye Leads Engagement on Youth Involvement in Politics, Says True Change Begins with Youth

The President of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, led a dynamic engagement on youth involvement in politics at the inaugural Amofin Beulah Adeoye Colloquium on Tuesday. Addressing over 60 participants, the renowned legal icon delivered the keynote speech, emphasizing the pivotal role of young people in shaping a progressive society through active political engagement.

In his address, Amofin Adeoye underscored the significance of youth involvement beyond the ballot box, encouraging young individuals to harness advocacy, leadership, and policy influence to drive growth that resonates with their generation’s aspirations. He argued that true change begins when young people see themselves not merely as future leaders but as influential contributors to the present political landscape.

Opening the session, Mr. Karo Ikie, Director of Programmes at Beulah Fund, echoed this sentiment, stressing that active youth participation in Nigeria’s political system is key to achieving a truly desired nation. The hour-long colloquium provided a forum for young attendees to brainstorm, exchange ideas, and discuss meaningful contributions they can make to society.

Comrade Ridwan Fasasi, Chief of Staff at the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, added depth to the discourse by highlighting the role of financial independence as a tool for youth empowerment in leadership choices, remarking that financial autonomy supports decision-making free from coercion and dependency.

The event was moderated with expertise and professionalism by Hon. Olansile Olanrewaju, Undersecretary for Investment, Trade, and Entrepreneurship at the Beulah Adeoye Foundation.

Participant Raheem AbdulRahman, Executive Director of Afrika Future Drive Initiative, expressed gratitude for the experience, stating, “I am deeply motivated, educated, and inspired.” He praised Amofin Adeoye’s presentation for emphasizing the potential within youth and offering actionable insights for their development.
