Ipapo United Club, a social organization made up of indigenes of Ipapo living across different parts of the world, has intensified its commitment to grassroots development through a series of community-focused outreach activities and the announcement of its forthcoming official launch.
The association, which accommodates members regardless of age, gender, educational background, family status, or religion, was formed to foster unity and mobilize resources for the progress of Ipapo and its surrounding communities.
In an interview with the President of the Club, Mr. Shittu Yusuf from Mayeloye Compound, he explained that the primary objective of the association is to develop practical ideas and strategies that will drive sustainable growth and development within the community.
As part of its recent engagements, representatives of the Club paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Eleyinpo of Ipapo and other key stakeholders in the town. The team also extended its outreach to public secondary schools, where essential teaching materials including whiteboards and markers were donated to Ipapo Community Grammar School and Muslim High School.
Continuing its educational support initiative, the Club on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, distributed exercise books to pupils across public primary schools in Ipapo. The gesture was met with excitement and appreciation from both teachers and pupils.
The distribution exercise was carried out by Mr. Taiwo Hassan of Ile Agoro, Mr. Taofeeq of Oluwonde, and Miss Ayanbode of Afunfere Compound, all based in Lagos. Other members present at the event included Mr. Salaudeen Ojo from Abuja and Mr. Rasheed Ogungbola, popularly known as Omieko, from Togo. They reiterated the Club’s unwavering dedication to the development of Ipapo.
During the event, the association also used the opportunity to invite the general public to its official launching ceremony, which is scheduled to hold during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in 2026 (1447 AH).
Members of the public have been encouraged to save the date, spread the information, and mobilize friends and well-wishers to attend the historic event.
