On Tuesday, June 11, 2025, Mr. Ayanwale, the second principal of Muslim High School Ipapo in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, donated a trophy to the school. This gesture fulfills a promise he made during the 2024 inter-house sports athletic competition. Mr. Ayanwale’s tenure as principal was marked by remarkable achievements, building upon the foundation laid by the first principal, Mr. Kola, in 2009.
Mr. Ayanwale demonstrated a humble character and passionate interest in teaching, establishing standard operational principles that included accreditation of all subjects for WAEC and NECO examinations. Notably, he successfully instituted the first WAEC and NECO examinations in 2014. In recognition of his contributions, the school management immortalized Mr. Ayanwale’s name by naming one of the four notable houses after him – Ayanwale House. These houses compete during sports competitions, fostering a spirit of healthy rivalry among students.
The trophy donation is a continuation of Mr. Ayanwale’s good work while he was in service. The incumbent principal, Mr. Azeez W.A., appreciated Mr. Ayanwale’s gesture and advised other retired or transferred staff to emulate him. The trophy was delivered by Mr. Olanrewaju R.O., a teacher who recently transferred to Ekunle High School Iseyin. In his remarks, Principal Mr. Azeez W.A. appealed to the Teachers’ Service Commission (TESCOM) of Oyo State to fill existing vacancies in the school, emphasizing that this would enable the school to deliver good service to its students. The donation of the trophy by Mr. Ayanwale is a testament to his enduring commitment to the school’s success, even after his retirement.
