At the 52nd Annual General Meeting of the Ipapo Descendant Union (IDU) on November 9, 2024, the community made a groundbreaking decision to bring quality healthcare closer to home. Held at the Ifebasiri Cooperative Building, the meeting marked a major step toward constructing a modern general hospital for Ipapo. IDU President Alhaji Jimoh Adebayo Opoola stressed the importance of accessible, government-accredited health facilities, saying, “A healthy society is a wealthy society.”
A Call for Health Awareness and Action Alhaji Saka, representing Ipapo Primary Health Care Centre, urged all community members to take their health seriously by seeking proper diagnosis and treatment instead of self-medicating. “Your health matters—visit our primary health centers for thorough care, counseling, and referrals,” he encouraged.
A Vision to Transform Healthcare in Ipapo In a powerful audio message, Mr. Akeem Olayiwola Olusegun inspired the community to move forward with the hospital project, suggesting that plans should begin after completing the Ipapo town hall. Citing the successful construction of the Divisional Police Headquarters, he reminded the community of their strength and unity.
Global Support for Ipapo’s Healthcare Dreams The hospital project has gained the backing of international branches, with Elder Abel Ige, chairman of the IDU USA Branch, pledging his branch’s full support. This collective commitment demonstrates Ipapo’s determination to provide world-class healthcare to its people.
With local leaders and international supporters united, Ipapo is set to turn this vision into reality. Together, we can build a healthier, stronger Ipapo for generations to come!
