The Ipapo Development Association extended a warm welcome to newly deployed teachers at Ipapo Community Grammar School and Muslim High School, Ipapo, on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The visit aimed to integrate the educators into the community and encourage them as they embark on their new roles.
During the visit, Mr. Tijani R.O, Chairman of the Ipapo Education Committee, congratulated the teachers on successfully meeting the recruitment requirements. He encouraged them to embrace their responsibilities with dedication, ask questions where necessary, and adapt to the welcoming environment of the Ipapo community.

The newly posted teachers at Ipapo Community Grammar School include:
- Miss Adeoye – English and Literature
- Mr. Toyese – Christian Religious Studies (CRS)
- Mr. Owolabi – Geography
- Miss Abilawon – Basic Technology
- Mr. Balogun – Islamic Religious Studies (IRS)
- Mr. Adewale – Government and Civic Education

At Muslim High School, Ipapo, the newly posted teachers include:
- Mr. Oguntegbe – Economics
- Miss Ogunsola – Home Economics
- Mr. Ganiyu – Islamic Studies (ISS)
- Miss Oguniyi R.O – English and Literature
- Miss Awoyemi – Yoruba
- Mr. Rabiu – Physical and Health Education (PHE) and Integrated Science
- Mr. Abdul Waid T.O. – Arabic
- Others yet to be assigned
During the visit, the teachers were assured of the community’s support as they settled into their new roles. However, they were also advised to be patient with the limited resources currently available in the schools until additional materials are provided. The principals, Mrs. Oyeniran and Mr. Azeez, expressed gratitude to the community for their support but also appealed for more teachers, particularly for core subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, and Agricultural Science.
Recognizing some of the challenges faced by the newly deployed teachers, they called on local landlords to offer affordable accommodations. Additionally, they urged parents to support students by providing essential learning materials such as textbooks, uniforms, and other school supplies. The teachers also highlighted the need for improved infrastructure, including access to clean water, proper toilet facilities, and regular electricity, to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.

The Ipapo Education Committee encouraged the teachers to collaborate with school management and actively communicate their challenges and observations to the relevant stakeholders for necessary action. This initiative reflects the commitment of the Ipapo community to improving the quality of education and fostering an environment where both teachers and students can thrive.
