Alhaji Uthman Amuda Adebanjo, founder of the Amuda Uthman Adebanjo Educational Development Foundation (AAEDF), has urged beneficiaries of the 2025 WAEC Scholarship Award to pay it forward whenever possible. He emphasized this point during the 7th edition of the award ceremony, held at the Community Town Hall in Otu on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Adebanjo highlighted the difficulties people face in obtaining financial assistance, particularly in today’s economy where the value of money is dwindling. He noted that many individuals who have benefited from similar initiatives in the past often fail to reciprocate due to fears of disappointment or rejection.
The philanthropist encouraged the scholarship recipients to remain committed to their academic pursuits and strive for excellence. He also appealed to the community’s leaders and well-to-do individuals to collaborate with the foundation in expanding the initiative to other parts of Oyo State and Nigeria.
Adebanjo revealed that the foundation’s long-term vision includes extending the scholarship program to higher institutions, enabling students from Itesiwaju local government to compete with their peers nationwide. This vision is expected to become a reality when the program reaches its ten-year milestone.
In his closing remarks, Adebanjo expressed gratitude to his family, children, wives, and APC party leaders in Itesiwaju local government for their unwavering support.
