HRM Oba Yekini Ademola Abioye II, the Eleyinpo of Ipapo Land, spent his second day in Lome, Togo, paying tribute to esteemed Ipapo elders, including Pa Amuda Yusuf Adetokun. This visit was a historic achievement, solidifying the king’s ties with his kinsmen.

Pa Adetokun, who will succeed the late Pa Sanusi Alaka, warmly received Oba Ademola at his residence on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Their discussion centered on Ipapo Land mark issues, with Pa Adetokun commending Oba Eleyinpo Ademola “Arowosoba” for his strategies to protect Ipapo Land. He advised against outright land sales, instead recommending leasing to investors.
Pa Adetokun also reminisced about his youthful days spent hunting game across Ipapo forest land. He fondly recalled hunting with neighboring hunters from Tede, Sepeteri, Ilero, and Ikoyi, who would meet at the Ipapo boundaries, including the Asaka boundary with Ilero, and other notable landmarks. This shared experience highlighted the strong bonds between the communities.
During the visit, Oba Ademola’s entourage included notable dignitaries such as Amb. Yusuf Alaka, Alhaja Khadijat Salaudeen, Chief Teetu of Ipapo Land, and Chief Mrs. Otun Iyalaje of Ipapo Land.
