Chief Superintendent of Corps, Officer Bello Embarks on Familiarization Tour to Eleyinpo Palace

The newly deployed Divisional Officer of the Nigeria Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Itesiwaju Local Government Headquarters, Chief Superintendent of Corps (CSC) Bello Abdul-Waheed, paid a familiarization visit to the palace of Oba Yekini Ademola Abioye II, The Eleyinpo of Ipapo Land, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Accompanying him were other senior officers from the Ipapo and Okaka NSCDC offices, including Superintendent of Corps (SC) Olanrewaju Samuel, Deputy Superintendents of Corps (DSC) Wahab Basiru and CSC Olanrewaju Daud.

During the tour, Oba Yekini Ademola Abioye II highlighted the existing good rapport between Ipapo community and NSCDC, urging the new Divisional Officer to build upon this relationship to ensure a crime-free community. The monarch emphasized the importance of maintaining good relationships with other personnel, noting that positions are temporary.

Oba Ademola pledged to construct a befitting office for the NSCDC in Ipapo after completing the ongoing community town hall, recognizing the significance of a standard security office in Ipapo community. He appealed to well-meaning individuals in Ipapo, both at home and abroad, to support the completion of the Ipapo Ultra Modern Town Hall.

Present at the visit were high chiefs, including Chief Muraina Orisasona (Teetu of Ipapo Land), Chief Afonja Rahmon (Mayeloye of Ipapo Land), and Chief Jagun (palace secretary). Chief Maye expressed gratitude to Officer Basiru and his team for their cooperation and support in securing citizens’ lives and properties.

The palace scribe listed suburbs under Ipapo community, including Owode, Gbonkan, Temidire, Abaleke, Kajola, Oriire, Folemole,Ijapa,Ahoro Omo and others, and requested the new Divisional Officer to seek additional personnel to cover these areas.

CSC Bello also visited HRM Oba Gasali Omotoso, The Olugunwa of Oke Amu land, who commended the NSCDC for providing maximum security services. In response, CSC Bello thanked the people of Ipapo Oke Amu for their hospitality and vowed to utilize his experience in various locations to enhance the security.

  CSC Bello also used the Ipapo Development Association weekly meeting to hook up with the community leaders such as Mr Segun Kolade and Alhaji R A Azeez.The community leaders highlighted herders and farmers crises as major challenge in Ipapo community.

Meanwhile,the leaders of cattle owners in Ipapo led by Alhaji Umaru and his executive body has had a brief meeting with new CSC at Ipapo office who urged the cattle owners to educate their headers on the significance of peace and harmony.

He encouraged community leaders to encourage their children to join military services, citing the numerous benefits it provides to the community.
